Dans la peau de l'autre

On Thursday 22 March 2018 at 8 pm, the show DANS LA PEAU DE L'AUTRE offers the results of a choreographic research by Kossi Sébastien Aholou-Wokawui and Tomas Bünger:

In times of increasing xenophobia, the dancers are looking for the opposite way "into the skin of the other". In their joint research, they try to live in the body of the other, to immerse themselves in the physical body, its gestures, its memories and its knowledge.

With their different biographies of life and dance in the background, Kossi Sebastien Aholou-Wokawui and Tomas Bünger enter into a sensitive dialogue, feel out commonalities and individual stories. Trusting that the present can learn from the past, they seek inquisitive informality and humorous rebelliousness in dealing with the foreign. In doing so, they design and celebrate a mirroring ritual, a liberating living out of the other in the own and the own in the other.
